Scalping Prop Firms: Compare Actual Fills After Round-Trip Costs

A scalping comparison can change materially after the actual fills and round-trip costs are reconciled. Start with the execution record, then check whether the proposed method and market are permitted. A fast chart move does not establish a profitable completed trade.

Define the measured round trip

Retain entry and exit execution identifiers, quantities, prices, timestamps and all supplied charges. Match the same quantity on both sides before comparing proceeds. A midpoint observation is a benchmark at a time, not a promise that the whole order could execute there.

Method permission remains account-specific. Review HashHedge’s current fair-trading and product conditions instead of treating this article as blanket scalping approval. No latency advantage, prohibited technique or rule workaround is offered.

Work a fictional narrow-margin example

Suppose 100 units buy at 100.02 and later sell at 100.08. Gross price profit is 100 × 0.06 = 6 quote units. With a complete supplied round-trip fee of 5, net is 1. If an illustrative midpoint comparison suggested a 0.10 move, its gross 10 is a different measurement.

In a second fictional round trip, the same quantity sells at 100.06 with the same entry and costs. Gross becomes 4 and net minus 1. These are arithmetic scenarios, not measured fill quality, a recommended trade size or a forecast that more attempts will improve the result.

Check the account consequence separately

This site’s midpoint-join resource helps avoid duplicate weighting in benchmark comparisons. Preserve unique fills and the exact benchmark instant. A repeated market-data row should not receive an extra vote simply because it appears twice in an export.

After trade costs reconcile, compare the actual account observation to its loss conditions. A small positive trade does not prove that the whole account is compliant. Use the sponsored HashHedge link only to review the current programme; this worksheet neither connects nor trades.
